OILY SLUDGE LAGOONS in Refineries have always been a tedious task to clean. The lagoons are contaminated with solids along with precious oil which can be recovered and water that can be recycled. The sludge in the lagoons consists of paraffin wax, asphaltene, bitumen, silt, mud and so on.
Sureflo India pioneered in the introduction of Online Robotic Sludge removal and recycling using state of the art remote controlled robotic systems that go to the bottom of the lagoon and remove the sludge while moving across the entire lagoon area. This sludge was pumped to our mobile treatment systems to separate the oil, water, and form dry solid cake.
Our experience while working in these lagoons made us re engineer few aspects of our In-House Robotic systems to specifically cater to the nature of lagoon cleaning and improve the efficiency of robotic lagoon cleaning.
